One thing that I love about this new blogging adventure of mine is that it has me trying out retailers that I haven’t in years. There really isn’t a particular reason why I haven’t shopped at Old Navy for myself since having kids, but I am excited that we have been reunited! A couple weeks ago I went to Old Navy looking for swimsuits for the boys, but ended up walking out with nothing for them, and a few things for myself. Not only did I find some great lounge wear and active wear, but also a super versatile denim dress! Scroll down to see all of the outfits.
The scoop on the pants
For new leggings and joggers, I always compare them to my favorite Aligns from Lululemon, and I have been on a search for a cheaper option for a long time. I have been wearing both the joggers and leggings quite a bit since I bought them-walking in them, working out in them, washing them, and I am very impressed by the quality! The leggings stay up and are high waisted (don’t roll down), they seem squat proof (which can be even harder considering the color I got), they say light compression, but I sized down one (Large) and actually think the compression is really good, and they are super soft-however, not quite as soft as my Aligns. The price really can’t be beat-I got them for under $30! My feedback for the joggers is much of the same-super comfortable, love the high waisted/legging type band, the pockets, etc. For the joggers, I kept my regular XL size because I prefer them to be a bit roomier.
What else did I get?
I also bought a couple of V-Neck cropped t-shirts to wear working out or to bed, and a long-sleeve twist-hem shirt-like the pants all of the shirts are soft, seem like good quality, and are very affordable. I also bought two Medium Support Powersoft Sports bras in size Large. I hate buying bras and generally have a hard time finding ones that I like. These ones have good support and are comfortable-no digging in the armpit area and no pressure at the base of my neck or straps digging into my shoulders and back. The last thing I bought was a denim shirt dress that I have been eyeing for a year! It is such a great length, has snaps for buttons, and can be dressed up with some boots, belted, or paired with some white sneakers-a very good option to take you into Spring.
Overall, I am super impressed with everything, and excited to have Old Navy as an option again for women’s clothes. Plus Old Navy is a lot like Kohl’s where you can earn rewards, like Old Navy cash, for future purchases, and they pretty much always have some type of sale going on!

I am 35 year-old full-time working wife and mama to two boys--Brody (8) and Bennett (4). I was born and raised in Canada (or America's hat as some people call it), and moved to the U.S. for college where I met my now husband. We currently live in Minnesota, so basically still Canada, and we just built a home last summer. 2020 has been so hard for so many people, and while I am fortunate to be in the situation I am in, it has really made me reflect about what I want in life and how I can continue to bring joy into it. I have realized what brings me the most joy is seeing the people that I care about happy, and also connecting with people on a personal level. Fast forward to here, I want to create a community that I can connect with by sharing products and ideas I love from home to fashion to wellness, but also opening up about moments in my life that have helped me grow, even if they aren't my happiest ones. My hope is that you too can find things here that bring more joy into your life.
